SCHOLARSHIPS TENABLE IN INDIA FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR
2017/2018
The Ministry is in respect of information from the Embassy of Republic of Tanzania in India about the availability of scholarship seats for the Tanzanian, tenable at A.P. Goyal Shimla University for the Academic Year 2018/2019.
1.0 Call for Application
Applications are invited from qualified Tanzanians to fulfill 50 Full and 100 half Scholarships for Doctorate, Masters and Bachelor Degrees tenable at A.P. Goyal Shimla University for the academic year 2018/2019.

3.0 Eligibility for Admission
A. School of Engineering & Technology
i) Eligibility for Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BCA / B.Tech Courses)
• Principal passes in Mathematics and Physics with minimum Admission points of 4. Those without a subsidiary pass in Chemistry at A? level must have a credit pass in Chemistry at O? level
• Diploma in Engineering with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0 or FTC with an average of “B”.
ii) Eligibility for Master’s Degree in Engineering (M.Tech Courses)
• Applicant must have passed at Upper Second Class in the Bachelor Degree from a recognized University.
iii) Eligibility for Master’s Degree in Science (M.Sc Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
Courses)
• Applicant must have passed at Upper Second Class in the Bachelor Degree from a recognized University
B. School of Law
i) Eligibility for Bachelor’s Degree in Law (L.L.B.)
• Two principal passes in Geography, History, Kiswahili, English Language, French or Economics with minimum Admission points of 4. If one of the principal passes is not English an applicant must have a pass in English at O? level.
• Diploma in Law with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0
(ii)Eligibility for Master’s Degree in Law (L.L.M.):
• Applicant must have passed at Upper Second Class in the Bachelor Degree from a recognized University
C. Applied Sciences
(i)Eligibility for Master of Science Physics (MSc Physics)
• An Upper Second Class Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University (with Physics & Mathematics)
(ii)Eligibility for Master of Science Chemistry (MSc Chemistry)
• An Upper Second Class Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University (with Chemistry)
(ii)Eligibility for Master of Science Chemistry (MSc Mathematics)
• An Upper Second Class Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University (MSc Mathematics )
D. School of Fashion & Textile
Eligibility for Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Designing (B.Sc)
• Two principal passes in Science or Arts subjects including Fine Arts with minimum Admission points of 4. Candidates must have passes in Chemistry at O? level and Mathematics at O? level or Basic Applied Mathematics at A? level.
• Diploma/FTC in Sciences or Laboratory Technology, with a Credit Pass in Mathematics and an overall average of B+ with GPA not less than 3.5 or B+ grade or distinction or B average for FTC AND five passes with at least three credits at„ O? Level.
E. School of Management
(i)Eligibility for Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (BBA)
• Two principal passes in any subjects with minimum Admission points of 4. If one of the principal passes is not Mathematics, an applicant must have a subsidiary in Mathematics at A? level or pass in Mathematics at O? level
• Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce or Procurement and Logistics Management, Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Marketing, or Economics with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0 and four passes at O? level with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0 and four passes at O? level.
(ii)Eligibility for Bachelor of Commerce (Hons)
• Two principal passes in any subjects with minimum Admission points of 4. Those without a principal pass or a subsidiary pass in Mathematics must have a credit pass in Mathematics at O? level.
• Any diploma with GPA not less than 3.5 or B+ grade or distinction. The grade in Statistics or Mathematics or Quantitative methods in the diploma must be "C? or better or at least a Credit at O' Level. AND five passes with at least three credits at „O? Level.
(iii)Eligibility for Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
• Applicant must have graduated with an Upper second class degree from a recognized university.
F. Hospitality
(i)Eligibility for Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management (BHM)
• Two principal passes in Biology/ Geography/ Chemistry/ Physics/ Science and Practice in Agriculture/Mathematics/Food and Nutrition/Home Economics. Candidates with passes in Economics, Commerce or English/French/Spanish also qualify as long as they have in addition a pass in Biology at O? level.
• Diploma in Tourism, Hotel Management, Catering, Nutrition, Home Economics, Agriculture, Education, Forestry, or Wildlife Management with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0 and four passes in science subjects at O? level.
(ii)Eligibility for Masters in Hotel Management (MHM)
• A Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc.) from a recognized University.
G. School of Architecture and Planning
Eligibility for Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.)
• Two principal passes in any of the following: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography or Fine Art with minimum Admission points of four. If one of the principal passes is not Mathematics, a subsidiary pass in Advanced Mathematics/Basic Applied Mathematics or credit pass in O-level Mathematics is required.
• Diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, Civil and Transportation Engineering with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0 or FTC with an average of “B”
H. Journalism and Mass Communication
Eligibility for Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication
• Two principal passes in any subjects. Those without a principal pass or a subsidiary pass in English must have a credit pass in English at O? level.
• Diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0 with not less than four passes at O? level

• All applicants must attach certified photocopies of Academic Certificates, Transcripts, and birth certificates;
