ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ESSAY COMPETITION
Zanzibar Bureau of Standards is a public Institution that was established by the Zanzibar Standards Act No. 1 of 2011. Zanzibar Bureau of Standards is an Institution under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Marketing of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar.
Zanzibar got opportunity of being among the members of ARSO through ZBS. ARSO is an intergovernmental body established by the African Union and UNECA in 1977 with the principal mandate to harmonize African standards and conformity assessment procedures, in order to reduce Technical Barriers to Trade and therefore promote Intra African and International Trade as well as enhance the industrialization of Africa.
ZBS in collaboration with ARSO in the effort of rising awareness on the Role of standardization to the African youth, is conducting essay competition under the theme “The role of Standardization in resolving and addressing the socio-economic issues for the Refugees, Returnees and Internally Displaced Persons and creating durable Solutions to Forced Displacement in Africa” CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION
ZBS is inviting the students from higher learning institutions from ZANZIBAR to submit their essays at the office of Zanzibar Bureau of Standards. The deadline for submitting the essay is 31st JANUARY 2020, CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD REGISTRATION FORM
