The Abdurahman Al Sumait University (SUMAIT University) invites Tanzanians and non-Tanzanians applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following posts:

1. ACADEMIC STAFF:
 

Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer in the following areas:
i) Physics
ii) Mathematics
iii) Chemistry
iv) Biology
v) Computer Science
vi) Counseling Psychology
vii) English
viii) Geography (Population)
ix) History
x) Kiswahili
xi) Chinese
xii) Education
xiii) Aquaculture
xiv) Business Administration
xv Marine Sciences
 

Qualifications:
 

i. Must have Ph.D. in the relevant subject of specialization OR equivalent qualifications from recognized higher learning institutions in Tanzania.
ii. Candidates with M.Sc/ M.A may apply for the relevant posts.
iii. Preference will be given to those with teaching experience.
iv. First degree CGPA must not be less than 3.5 on a 5 points scale and second degree CGPA must not be less than 4.0 on a 5 point scale.
 

Duties and responsibilities:
 

i. Conduct lectures, researches and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate activities.
ii. Perform Departmental duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
