Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in collaboration with Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS), is implementing a research project; Single Image Parasite Quantification in Stool (SIMPAQ) in Tanzania with support from VLI-RUOS. The project is hosted in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology, Parasitology and Biotechnology, SUA.
SIMPAQ is hereby advertising One Post of two years scholarship for Master of Philosophy (MPhil) specializing in Helminthology at Sokoine University of Agriculture, Morogoro, Tanzania, starting early 2020. The successful candidate will conduct research focusing on the validation of the novel SIMPAQ platform for improved monitoring of Soil Transmitted Helminths prevalence through field tests.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- The applicant must be a citizen of Tanzania
- A holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Biotechnology and Laboratory Sciences or related courses.
- Must meet minimum admission qualification for Master of Philosophy at Sokoine University of Agriculture available at SUA website in the Directorate of Research, Postgraduate studies, Technology transfer and Consultancy (DRPTC) webpage https://www.dprtc.sua.ac.tz
- The applicants should apply for admission of Master of Philosophy at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA).
