Duties & Responsibilities

A Lecturer is expected to:

1. Carry out lectures, conduct tutorials, seminars and practical, invigilation and assessment for undergraduate and postgraduate programs;
2. Conduct research and publish in the areas of specialization;
3. Carry out consultancies and community services;
4. Conduct and publish/disseminate research results;
5. Write teaching manuals and compendia;
6. Attend/organize workshops, conferences and symposia;
7. Mentor junior staff in relevant fields;
8. Supervise field practical, undergraduate special projects, Master’s dissertations/theses; and
9. Perform any other relevant duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by relevant authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

1.  
   1. Lecturer
      • Holder of  a  PhD,  a Master Degree with a minimum GPA of 4.0 out of  5 and the First Degree with at least a GPA of 3.5 out of 5 in the relevant field.
      • Prior experience in teaching at University level is an added advantage.
